We stayed for 2 nights while visiting Kodaikanal. An amazing resort on the hill overlooking the valley. The rooms are in the middle of beautiful gardens that are very well maintained. There is a small pond and a dining area in a beautiful pagoda outdoors under the trees. The rooms are clean and simple. There's wifi in the reception area.... more
Lilly's Valley Resort, the very first resort to be built in Kodaikanal, was begun in 1982 by Mr. Raj A. Sukumar. He visit Kodaikanal and felt the place resembled places in England he had seen! Falling in love with the area, he purchased three beautiful acres. He ringed them with eucalyptus trees rather than a concrete wall, and started building the hotel. Later he married an American, Nina, and they have two beautiful children. The family divides its time between New York and Kodaikanal.
