6Lilly's Valley Resort, the very first resort to be built in Kodaikanal since 1982 by Mr.Raj A. Sukumar. He was born in the southern tip of Tamil Nadu, India. After travelling all over South India, Europe and North America in the 1970s he took up Canadian citizenship. During this period he happened to visit Kodaikanal and felt the place resembled places in England. He fell in love with the Princess of Hill Stations. He owned three beautiful acres of land and ringed them with eucalyptus trees rather than a concrete wall and started to edifice the resort. Later he joined hands in marriage to an American named Ms. Nina and the couple is blessed with two beautiful children. Often the family manages its time between New York City and Kodaikanal City.

A true gem out of the beaten path!
We stayed for 2 nights while visiting Kodaikanal. An amazing resort on the hill overlooking the valley. The rooms are in the middle of beautiful gardens that are very well maintained. There is a small pond and a dining area in a beautiful pagoda outdoors under the trees. The rooms are clean and simple. There's wifi in the reception area.... more
